This policy explains what information the Auto Choice website collects, how it is used and who else is involved. Auto Choice is a used vehicle dealership at 321 S. Heritage Drive, Spearfish, SD 57783.
The website has no customer accounts or logins, no online checkout or card payments, and no chat or message boards.
Inquiry forms
The contact form, the vehicle inquiry form on each vehicle page and the "Get in touch with sales" form that opens from the button on every page collect:
- Your name and phone number (required) and, on the contact and vehicle inquiry forms, your email address (optional).
- Your message and, on vehicle pages, the type of question (availability, test drive, price or payment, or other). On the "Get in touch with sales" form: what you are looking for (required, in your own words) or, on a vehicle page, the vehicle shown and an optional question.
- Your agreement to the contact consent shown on the form, with the time and the wording you agreed to.
- Where the inquiry came from: the page you sent it from; for vehicle inquiries, the vehicle's year, make, model, VIN, stock number and listed price; the name of the website that referred you, if any; and campaign tags in the page address (such as utm_source or gclid), if present.
When you submit a form, the website sends it through the email delivery service Resend, in the standard ADF/XML lead format, to our dealership customer relationship management (CRM) system, VinSolutions. Our team uses it to answer your question and follow up with you, including by call, text or email as described in the consent on the form. The website does not keep its own copy of your submission.
Please do not put your Social Security number, date of birth, bank or card numbers, or other sensitive financial details in an inquiry message. Inquiry forms are not a credit application, and messages that appear to contain those details are refused.
Financing applications (RouteOne)
Our online credit application is provided by RouteOne, a third-party dealer financing platform, and appears on our financing page. Information you enter there, such as income, employment, address history and Social Security number, goes to RouteOne rather than to the website's inquiry forms. It is handled under RouteOne's own terms and privacy policy and shared with us and with lenders to process your financing request.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting providers process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. To limit repeated form submissions, the website briefly uses a one-way hashed form of your IP address. That hash is not added to your inquiry.
The website's own code does not include analytics or advertising tags such as Google Analytics or a Meta pixel. Some pages show content from the third-party services below, which may use cookies or similar technologies and collect technical information under their own policies:
- Google Maps: map embeds and directions links.
- Trustindex: the customer reviews widget, loaded when you scroll near the reviews section.
- Dealer Image Pro: vehicle photos and 360° views.
- RouteOne: the credit application on the financing page.
- Carfax: vehicle history report links, which open on Carfax's website.
How information is shared
Inquiry information is shared with the service providers that deliver and store it for us (Resend and VinSolutions) and with our website hosting providers. Financing information is shared with RouteOne and lenders when you apply. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our customers, our business or others.
Your choices
You can reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texts. You can also contact us to stop other calls or emails, or to ask about the information we hold about you.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
